Uses:
For the soothing relief of:
• Upset stomach • Indigestion • Nausea • Heartburn • Diarrhea |
Warnings:
Reye's Syndrome: Children and teenagers should not use this medicine for chicken pox, or flu symptoms before a doctor is consulted about Reye's Syndrome, a rare but serious illness reported to be associated with aspirin. |
Do not use:
• if you are allergic to aspirin since an adverse reaction may occur even though this product does not contain aspirin
• if you are allergic to non-aspirin salicylates |
Ask a doctor before use if you have:
• been taking medicines for anticoagulation (thinning the blood), diabetes or gout.
• kidney stones
• a calcium-restricted diet |
Stop use and ask a doctor:
• this product contains non-aspirin salicylates.
• if taken with aspirin and ringing in the ear occurs
• if symptoms persist, or if diarrhea is accompanied by a high fever or continues more than 2 days |
| When using this product a temporary and harmless darkening of the tongue and/or stool may occur. Stool darkening should not be confused with melena. |
Keep this and all drugs out of reach of children. In case of accidental overdose, contact a physician or poison control center immediately.
If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health professional before use. |
Directions:
• Do not use more than directed
• Chew or dissolve in mouth
• Drink plenty of clear fluids to help prevent dehydration, which may accompany diarrhea.
• Repeat every 1/2 to 1 hour as needed, to maximum of 8 doses in a 24-hour period.
